Solar PV Rebates Update July 1st 2020

Save Up To $1,850 on a Solar System

Save Up To $4,174 on a Solar Battery

Eligible households will only have access to one solar rebate, so if you had your solar panels installed prior to receiving the existing rebates, you may have access to 50% off the installation of a solar battery (Up to a max of $4,174). Read more on the Solar VIC website
 

Get Access to Interest-Free Loans To Purchase Solar

The State Government will provide eligible households with potentially what could be a no-deposit, interest-free loan to be payable over four years. We expect in conjunction with the solar panel rebates, that your savings over this period will more than cover the payable. Then beyond that you’re pocketing the savings. Solar For Renters

Savings from solar systems will now be made available to renters. Landlords will have access to the interest-free loans and 50% rebate as long as they demonstrate savings will be passed on to the renter. Read more on the Solar VIC website.
 

Am I Eligible For The Solar Rebate?

The rebate is expected to benefit 24,000 Victorian households and you may be one as long as you fit within the following criteria:

1. Have a combined household income of less than $180,000 per annum before tax
2. Are an owner-occupier of a home valued at under $3,000,000
3. Do not already have a solar panel system installed on your property
4. You choose a Clean Energy Council (CEC) Approved Product and uses a CEC Accredited Installer (Like Eco Choice Solar!)
5. Had an eligible solar panel system installed on or after 1 July 2019, and
   engages an installer who can provide a statement that they have not received a WorkSafe infringement notice in the past three years (That’s us too!)
